Why You Want to Buy and Play 3rd Age
(or, Why 3rd Age Is Better Than D&D)
The character generation process is very easy, following along with the character sheet. This eliminates the need for cross-referencing or searching through other books. Also, the rules for play are included in each step of the process, so you learn the game as you make your character!
The system itself is very easy to learn. Any gamer from a novice to a seasoned veteran can pick up this book, read it, and be running an adventure for his friends tonight.
Excessive charts, graphs, tables, and matrices have been eliminated. This game puts the fun back in the role playing experience.
The 3rd Age game book includes 7 exotic races, 10 unique occupations (called Orders), over 90 types of weapons, armors, and shields, over 100 unique magical items, and over 500 magic spells!!
Everything you need to get started as a GM is in this book: we’ve included maps of the lands, 40 different creatures for your encounters, and a 1st Level adventure, so there is no need to buy a manual for the GM, the players, monsters, magic users and modules.
There are four different playing Realms (worlds) to host your adventures – all of which offer unique encounters and environments.
The magic system is extremely in-depth, and it allows characters to create their own magical items.
The characters in this game are designed to work together in a party environment, regardless if they are good or evil. Characters, with enough time, experience, determination, and devotion, can create their own destinies – and even become gods!
The game system itself is an excellent balance between ‘console gaming’, traditional RPGs, and realism. Combat is resolved quickly and easily.

i love the suttle hints on plots the book offers. besides the adventure in the back you guys gave great suggestions for future campaing possibilities.
